a blog on motherhood… the real, the funny, the hard, the glorious.
Little Sister has arrived!
Well, four months and a baby have happened since my last blog post. I think that’s the longest I’ve ever gone in my little blogmosphere… but, apparently, adding a newborn to everyday life with a toddler takes a little time getting used to.
I was 7 days past my due date, and pretty sure I was going to remain eternally pregnant. Since I was trying to avoid an induction if at all possible, I was doing everything I could to convince our little one to come out and meet us. Eating my weight in eggplant didn’t help, so I decided to take drastic measures and go on a 3-mile walk at 41 weeks pregnant (I only had to stop and potty once… go, me!) 8 hours later at 3AM, my water broke (more like torrentially gushed… sorry if that’s TMI)… and we knew it was Baby Day!
Our sweet little Sugar Muffin arrived on October 27, 2014 at 11:05AM after 8 hours of labor and a natural delivery. She weighed 9lbs, 15 oz and was over 21″ long. She has officially walked off with the rest of our hearts forever, and her big sister is positively smitten.
