Inadequate.

Inadequate: insufficient for a purpose (Thanks, Mr. Webster).

As a mom, I struggle with feeling this everyday. I feel inadequate to:

-parent consistently.

-nourish my children in the ideal way (my breastfeeding days have been supplemented with formula for both children).

-be everything for everybody (i’m a people pleaser by nature).

-keep up with seemingly simple things like laundry and cleaning bathrooms.

And the biggest thing? Extending myself grace. I’m the worst at it.

I always come up short. Inadequate. Insufficient. 

But I keep finding He always comes through faithful. Sufficient. He is Enough. 

Keep trucking on, mamas… extend grace to yourself. Oh… and wanna know something? You’re a GREAT mama.

The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. -Isaiah 58:11
