A post yesterday on social media by my sweet friend, Jenn (check out her insta @jennverdery – it’s one of my faves!), hit me square between the eyes. It doesn’t need anything added to it, so I’ll just stop talking now.
“Thinking today about what God has called me to do with my life in this season. Remembering through the diaper changes, and the discipline, tantrums, laughter, anger, tears, and sheer elation that homemaking, parenting, and marriage is a high calling though not glamorous. It’s through the mundane and intentional investment along with God in the next generation that we will see a shift in culture. Mundane faithfulness is my calling for this season. Grace to all those who feel that same call today.” #YourJobMatters
She then shared this quote…
“You are as much serving God in looking after your own children, training them up in Gods fear, minding the house, and making your household a church for God as you would be if you had been called to lead an army to battle for the Lord of Hosts.” -Charles Spurgeon
