Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, y’all! It’s a rainy and cold one where I live… perfect for snuggling. Which would be great, if I didn’t have a bowling ball’s weight worth of sinus pressure between my ears. Ugh. Oh well. No Sick Days for moms, so I truck along… with even more caffeine then usual.

On that note, I’m extra grateful for this sweet man who has been taking Night Shift, Dad-Style for me so that I could have as much interrupted sleep at night as possible. He’s the best. And I will happily have all his babies forever.

And grateful for Chick-Fil-A having chicken noodle soup for sickly me and an indoor playground for my cooped-up toddler.

If you follow me on Instagram (@AbbeyDraaBlog), then you saw my $13 Target find this week… and that’s $13 total. Lots of cozy moccasins on clearance in the shoe department ($10, people!), and that sweet little wooden ABC sign was $3 from their Dollar Aisle.

If you have Aldi or Sam’s near you, then check out their produce this week! I was so excited to find blueberries (Aldi), strawberries and blackberries (Sam’s) all on sale this week. I stocked up them, so we could freeze some for later. Nothing is better then fresh berries in the middle of January. 😉

…which inspired the yummy bread that has been a huge hit at my house the last couple weeks.

And if you haven’t tried this before, it’s delicious! I usually pick up a few when my local grocery store has them as a Buy One Get One Free option (since they can be a little pricy, otherwise)… if you like chai, then this will be right up your alley. This one is called Vanilla Chai Tea. Yummy!

My newly over-hauled pantry was our project on MLK Day, and it’s definitely my new favorite space in the house. It’s been on our To-Do List since we moved into our home a few years ago… my husband built new shelves for it, and I picked up some baskets and canisters for organization. I kinda just want to ignore the 11 loads of laundry on my couch that need folding, and just look at those beautiful shelves instead.
