Happy Hump Day! Today, I’m linking up with some of my favorite blogs and sharing what we’ve been up to this week. Here we go!
What We’re Eating This Week:
I’m working on recipes for my third installment of my Meal Planning Series, so some stovetop one-pot meals, lots of slow-cooker recipes, and a few cereal nights thrown in for good measure because #MomLife. But one thing is always for sure… I can always count on this sweet child to help with the dishes. ❤
What I’m Reminiscing About:
Just last night, Josh & I ended up in an hour-long conversation of courtship memories. Loved that boy then, and love him way more now. ❤
What I’m Loving:
Watching my toddler “learn” to jump-rump. I recently bought a jump-rope, and she has become fully obsessed. Our evenings after dinner have consisted of family jump-roping the last several nights, and it’s nothing short of adorable watching her jump up and down while waving the jump-rope around, hahahahaha.
What We’ve Been Up To:
This week, we’ve been grocery shopping, spent some time at the playground with friends, and enjoyed lots of playtime at home. These are the glory days. ❤
What I’m Dreading:
Laundry. always laundry. Oh, and i need to clean the bathrooms too (one of my least favorite things to do in the history of ever).
What I’m Working On:
I’ve been working on a little goodie box to send my Grandma who lives out-of-state just as a way to say “i love you” and get something fun in the mailbox. A couple of her favorite magazines, some nail polish, a pretty dish towel… just a few little simple pretties that I’ve picked up as I’ve seen things that remind me of her.
What I’m Excited About:
A few of my closest girlfriends and I decided a couple months ago to save our pennies and gather from five different states for a Josh Groban concert on the east coast this summer. Y’all, i’m counting.down.the.days. I loveeeeee Josh Groban and have been to one of his concerts before, and seriously can’t wait to pull out my pretty shoes, swipe on some red lipstick, and spend an evening with my sister-friends while he croons to us.
What I’m Watching/Reading:
I’m currently reading a few different books and will have my February Book Review wrapped up next week (you can read January’s here), but this book has been a gut-punch to me… every mama everywhere needs to read “The Hands Free Mama”.
As far as what I’m watching… as much Madame Secretary as I can get my hands on. #SorryNotSorry
What I’m Listening To:
One of my sister-friends who will be going to the concert with me, sent me Groban’s newest album “Stages” which I didn’t have and it’s been on repeat all.week.long. The Phantom song “All I Ask Of You” is by far my favorite. I get chills every time. I’m a big Phantom Of The Opera fan, and there is NOTHING better then Josh Groban singing POTO songs. Nothing better. For kicks and giggles, here’s a photo of Josh & I seeing it years ago on stage.
What I’m Wearing:
You don’t want to see another picture of me in yoga pants, so here’s a photo from Josh & I sneaking away to a wedding over the weekend. Okay, I lied… I’m wearing leggings, so basically it is another picture of me in yoga pants. But, I AM wearing makeup and real shoes… so… there’s that. #MamaTried
On another note, I haven’t danced THAT long in… well… i’m not sure how long. I’m pretty sure the leg workout from dancing The Wobble all night was a better workout then my morning runs. Seriously.
What I’m Doing This Weekend:
Hopefully, a low-key weekend of blueberry waffles and visiting nearby family will wrap-up our weekend. Oh, and some more Madame Secretary because we have no self control. #CantStopWontStop
What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month:
We have a couple family birthdays next month, and celebrating the people i love is always my favorite. ❤
That’s it for today… Happy Hump Day, sweet friends!

Hi Cait! Thanks for reading! Can’t wait for a few quiet minutes at naptime to check out your book club post… Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
I have heard a lot of people talk about Madame Secretary…think I need to check it out!!
Thanks for linking up with us for What’s Up Wednesday! 🙂
It has turned into one of my all-time favorite shows… if you love political thrillers, you definitely need to check it out. Nothing too violent, relatively clean, and no sex scenes. Seriously so good. Thanks for stopping by, and offering the opportunity to link up! xoxo
I love how every week you share about what you’ve been up to, doing, wearing, etc. with that little chart. You’ve inspired me to do the same thing, because I think that’ll breed extra gratefulness and awareness of how beautiful life really is. I enjoy following you, Abbey! 🙂
